Spring Clean Your Online Presence

Spring is the season of fresh starts—so why not give your business a digital refresh, too?

As customers come out of winter hibernation, they’re more likely to search online before making decisions. If your digital presence is outdated, unclear, or inconsistent, you could be losing business before you even know it.

Here’s a simple checklist to help you “spring clean” your online footprint

  • Google Business Profile: Are your hours current? Is your business description clear? Add fresh photos and respond to any recent reviews.
  • Social Media Bios: Update your “about” sections with accurate descriptions, current links, and seasonal offers.
  • Website Touch-Up: Check for broken links, outdated products, or old news. Make sure it looks great on mobile—it’s where most traffic happens now.
  • Fresh Visuals: Swap out any images or banners that scream last season. A few bright spring visuals can breathe new life into your brand.
  • Call-to-Action Review: Is it clear what you want your visitors to do—book, call, buy, or visit? If not, rework it.

You don’t have to overhaul everything. Just a few intentional updates can make a huge difference in how professional and trustworthy you appear.

Want a second set of eyes? We offer a free 15-minute “Online Presence Checkup” to help you spot what needs fixing first.

Refresh Your Brand Messaging for the Season

Is your business saying the right things to the right people in 2025?

The world has changed—and so have your customers. If your core messaging still sounds like it did two years ago, there’s a good chance it no longer reflects your current strengths or your customers’ priorities.

Spring is a perfect time to step back and make sure your words are working just as hard as you are.

Ask yourself:

  • Is your elevator pitch still accurate? Can you explain what you do, who it’s for, and what makes you different in 30 seconds or less?
  • Are your offers aligned with what people need now? If you’re still promoting a winter service or pushing outdated bundles, it might be time to pivot.
  • Do your social posts, website copy, and emails all say the same thing? Consistency builds trust.
  • Are you highlighting what makes you valuable right now? Don’t bury your best offer behind jargon or old language.

When your messaging clicks, everything else works better—ads convert faster, referrals go up, and new visitors “get it” instantly.

Not sure how to begin? We help small businesses clarify and update their message all the time. Let’s talk—our quick “Messaging Refresh Session” on the house.

I’ve been promoting companies for the past 18 years. During that period, 8 of my clients were acquired by larger firms. I can get you that kind of attention. Here are four ways I can help:

1. Hit My Website

I’ve created a number of Leader’s Guides and a lot of promotional content that you can use without ever speaking to me. That said, I’d love to speak to you and find out more about your specific needs. I can point you in the right direction.

2. Connect on LinkedIn

I’ve tried to capture my best ideas in my LinkedIn article section where they are free to you. I’ll be publishing more of my ideas there, so link up and get free access.

3. Get on a Podcast

Podcasting is a great way to build your brand and brush up on public speaking, one of the most important leadership skills. I have several programs and I’m always looking for guests.

4. Engage in a Simple Project

You don’t have to commit to a large, long-term retainer to work with me and my team. We have a number of simple projects that will give your company the boost it needs at virtually no risk.
